About The Tow Brief

The Tow Brief is a free weekly email for the people who run towing and recovery companies.

Every Monday we send a 5-minute read covering what changed in towing that week: state laws and rate caps, motor club moves, safety, equipment, and the business side of running a yard. No fluff, no outrage bait, no 40-page magazine to dig through.

Who's behind it? A small, independent desk of people who've spent years around the towing and automotive business. We keep our names off it on purpose. The Tow Brief is about the industry, not about us, and staying independent lets us cover vendors, motor clubs and regulators straight.

The directory. We also keep a free directory of tow companies, built from public licensing and federal registration records, and a directory of the vendors who serve the industry. Operators can claim and correct their listing for free.

How we make money. Sponsors. Every sponsored item is labeled. Sponsors never pick what we cover.
