The Tow Brief is a free weekly newsletter and directory for the towing industry. This page explains, in plain English, what we collect and what we do with it.
Newsletter subscribers
When you subscribe, you give us your email address. Our newsletter platform, beehiiv, stores it and sends the newsletter for us. beehiiv may record standard email data, like whether an email was opened or a link was clicked, so we can tell what's useful. We use your email only to send The Tow Brief and to reply if you write to us. We never sell or rent your email address. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
Website visitors
This site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to deliver and secure the site. We don't use advertising cookies or sell visitor data.
Directory listings
Tow company listings come from public records: the federal FMCSA Company Census, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) tow company license file, state tow license and police rotation lists, and the public member directories of towing associations. We show business information only: company name, city, state, business phone, registration number and fleet size. We don't publish owners' personal names, and we hide phone numbers for records registered to an individual rather than a business. See data sources.
Corrections and removal
To correct or remove a listing, or to ask us to delete any information we hold about you, email towbrief@gmail.com. We handle requests within 5 business days.
Emails and listing requests
If you email us or use the listing request form, we keep your message and address only as long as needed to answer and keep a record of the request. The form is delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit. We don't publish your name or email, and we only add you to the newsletter if you tick that box.
Children
The Tow Brief is for business professionals and isn't directed to children under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Big changes will be announced in the newsletter.
